Who writes here

Sophie De Clercq has worked the Belgian gambling beat since 2017 and verifies every claim with an emphasis on support and limits. Active from Brugge.

We are paid through affiliate links; that does not change what the review says. An operator without a Belgian licence is described as such, commission or not.

How we test. testing starts with a real signup, carry out a real deposit, start a withdrawal and keep an eye on the clock. We hold the name against both of the regulator's lists and check what the terms actually say. Unverified claims are left out.

Weekly limit, age bar and exclusion

Belgium regulates player protection more strictly than most of its neighbours which feeds straight into your play limit. On any licensed site the weekly limit defaults to €200.

EPIS is the Gaming Commission's central exclusion system: whoever registers is barred everywhere immediately, online as well as offline. Unlicensed sites are not connected to it. The bar has stood at 21 since 1 September 2024, lottery aside; 18 still applies at the National Lottery alone. The bar is statutory, not a house rule.
